MODULE 8 - Restoration: Reading Pawlos Correctly

What if Paul was never the problem, but how we read him was?

Module Objective: Equip students with a complete hermeneutic for reading Pawlos through Torah, Yeshua, covenant, and context.

Teaching Summary

• Pawlos must be read through Torah, Yeshua, apostolic witness, and covenant logic.
• Faith establishes the law and obedience remains the shape of covenant faithfulness.
• Tradition must be tested where it overturns the plain teaching of Yeshua and Scripture.
• Restoration is not rejection of Pawlos but recovery of his real framework.

Key Scriptures

Scripture Cited study text / focus
Romans 3:31 Pawlos teaches that faith establishes the law rather than making it void.
1 Corinthians 5:8 Pawlos uses the feast language of sincerity and truth, showing continued scriptural and covenant imagery.
Acts 24:14 He confesses belief in all things written in the Torah and the Prophets.
Matthew 5:17-19 Yeshua affirms the continuing weight of Torah and warns against teaching the least commandments lightly.

Core Insights

• Yeshua is the foundation; Pawlos explains inside that foundation.
• Correct hermeneutics prevent isolated-verse theology.
• Restoration begins when Scripture is allowed to interpret Scripture.

Reflection Questions

1. How has your understanding of Pawlos changed?
2. What is the correct order of interpretation?
3. How does Torah now fit into your understanding of faith?
4. What doctrines must be re-evaluated in light of this course?

Action Exercises

• Apply the four-step framework (Torah, Yeshua, Apostles, Pawlos) to one disputed passage.
• Write a personal declaration of how you will read the epistles differently from now on.
• List three traditions you now want to test directly against Scripture.
